The idea

AI is changing what organisations can do.

The difficult part isn't simply adopting the technology. It's understanding where it creates value, where it introduces risk, and how to turn it into systems that actually work.

A little about me

I've spent my career working with technology, security, governance and risk.

Now I'm focused on what happens when those disciplines meet AI and practical software building, understanding the technology, thinking carefully about its risks, and using it to create useful outcomes.

I'm an independent, location-independent professional working with clients globally. I enjoy getting to the heart of complicated problems, understanding how the pieces fit together, and then building practical ways forward.

This site is the personal hub for that work. Hyplon is where I provide professional AI governance, privacy and related services. BuildwithHI is where I explore what becomes possible when humans and AI build together.

How I work

Think carefully. Build practically.

I'm interested in the gap between what technology promises and what people can actually make useful.

That means asking the uncomfortable questions about value, risk, constraints and implementation, then using the tools available to build something that works in the real world.
